Algarve is not just a region with beautiful beaches, delicious dishes and a hinterland that offers a peek at life in years past.
In June wizards will be visiting Silves, Carvoeiro will host its annual Black & White Night party and Portimão is moving its markets back to the larger venue.
June 10, Silves castle is the place to be for the seventh Harry Potter Meet, magic meets the Algarve.
From 11am to 7pm, fans of both Harry Potter and Fantastic Beasts can enjoy themed areas and take part in games and lectures.
You can buy tickets online for €3.50 (5-10yesars) and from €5 (for adults) or purchase them on the day for €9.
A week later, Carvoeiro will be hosting its annual Black & White Night.
A street party for all, there is no charge for entry but as the name suggests, the dress code is black and white.
Those who know Carvoeiro are aware that parking is not easy, so there will be a bus running from Rampa do Solférias between 8pm and 4am, at no charge.
With street entertainment, a main stage in the square by the beach, six others dotted around the town plus a children’s corner, there will be DJs, Fado, a movie and much more for everyone to enjoy.
And finally, a note for those who enjoy markets.
Portimão has relocated its flea market, held each month on the first and third Sunday, and monthly market, on the first Monday of each month, back to the larger venue, the Portimão Arena.
The first flea market at the bigger venue will be held on June 4 and the monthly market on June 5.
