Having been postponed from April, the Portugal Masters is going ahead in November this year.

Rescheduled for November 4-7, replacing the Volvo China Open which is unable to go ahead as an international event due to the pandemic, the Portugal Masters is to be played at Dom Pedro Victoria Golf Course in Vilamoura.

This is the 15th consecutive year it has been played at the venue. Prize money will be €1.5 million.

With the European Tour closing mid-November, the Portugal Masters counts towards the Race to Dubai which is the season-long competition to crown the European Tour’s top player.

Keith Pelley, Chief Executive of the European Tour, said: “We are delighted to confirm the rescheduled Portugal Masters”. He continued, ““Dom Pedro Victoria Golf Course has been a popular venue with our players, and it has produced plenty of drama, so we are very pleased to be able to return for the 15th year in a row”.

Designed by Arnold Palmer and completed in 2004, Dom Pedro’s Victoria course has a par-72 layout and measures 6,651 metres. Including natural wetland, the course has many water hazards with carob, olive and almond trees dotting the landscape.
